Yours Truly
Dear Iris,
It's been quite a year; never could you have imagined being where you are right now with all that happened at the beginning of the year. I'm so glad that everything worked out.
I'm grateful that, despite rough moments, self-doubt, and tough decisions to leave some people and make new friends, you didn't give up.
You trusted your gut feelings about certain issues, took a leap of faith with the small promptings that Jesus gave you, and, most importantly, were obedient when a command was given. Without question, those leaps of faith and obedience brought you to places and introduced you to people who changed your life - some great, and some passersby who taught you valuable lessons with pain you'll never forget.
All in all, my heart is filled with thankfulness.
Fire, Lion, Fruitfulness, People... many things happened, and many things shifted. When this year started, I was desperate to get it over with, but like every good movie, the rhythm and pace of things unfolding were perfect - because I allowed the best author to hold the pen that writes my story.
It would be safe to say that everything was nothing less than an adventure, and it was a great one. I'm excited to welcome Christmas and then the new year, where new adventures await.
I know it'll be a good one, and as 2023 comes to an end, I would love to intentionally count my blessings by going through my diary page by page and letter by letter. Just give thanks for all that happened - the good, the bad, and the ugly, as cliché as it sounds.
Yours Truly,
Iris. W
