Quite Insulting

This was the conversation.
Well not exactly, but it was a conversation I would rather prefer.
So this was in my mind when I was talking to that person.

Someone: You should be this, and do this and become this.

Me: Sorry, do you have a problem with me? Or are you unsatisfied with your life?

Someone: No, I'm just giving you advice. Just for your own good.

Me: Well, let me ask you something. Would you prefer to do what the society wants you to do, or would you rather be yourself, IF you have a choice?

Someone: Of course I will want to be myself.

Me: Exactly! Thank you for your advice, but I find it insulting when you put your standards on me. Why don't you just enjoy who I am. You do know that you won't find another exact same person like me, or don't you?
-End Of Conversation-

It is kinda annoying sometimes when people give advice.
Well, I found out that there are two kinds of advice.
One is REAL advice, and the other is just wanting you to live up to their standards of who they want you to be. [because it will make their life easier]

To be honest, I would rather you encourage me than giving me advice, because we are all different and we seek different things in life. I'm not perfect and will never be, and I would rather TRY HARD to be myself than TRYING HARDER to change myself to what the society or should I say YOU want me to be.
